Pitt to Hold Third Annual "Pathway to Professions" Oct. 20

Contact:

PITTSBURGH-The University of Pittsburgh Alumni Association and Office of Career Services will sponsor the third "Pathway to Professions" career-networking event, titled "Making Connections," from 6 to 8 p.m. Oct. 20 in the Connolly Ballroom of Alumni Hall, 4227 Fifth Ave., Oakland.

The event is designed to forge new relationships between students and alumni with the goal of building career networks for both alumni and the students.

Alumni Volunteers will share knowledge and insight about their careers, network with Pitt students and other alumni, and strengthen ties to the University; job-seeking alumni can learn about advancing their careers, explore new career paths, and expand their peer networks; and students will have an opportunity to look at different career options within their fields, get professional advice from Pitt alumni, and practice networking skills.

Legacy Laureates, distinguished Pitt alumni who have achieved both professional and personal accomplishments, also will interact with students and other alumni throughout the evening.

In addition, the event will feature a hands-on demonstration of the Pitt Career Network, a new search feature providing alumni profiles that students and alumni can access.

The career networking event is not a job fair and résumés will not be exchanged. For more information, visit alumni.pitt.edu/pathway or call Alyson Wallach at 412-624-7130 or alyson1@pitt.edu
