Pitt's Ridgway Center for International Security Studies to Hold Panel Discussion About the Changing Face of Military Force

PITTSBURGH—From continuing operations in Iraq and Afghanistan to increasing operational deployments across the globe, the U.S. Army has faced growing pressure on their forces and their ability to maintain worldwide commitments. As part of the Eisenhower Series College Program, members of the U.S. Army War College will speak about adapting to meet those increasing demands at 4 p.m. Feb. 28 in 3430 Posvar Hall, 230 S. Bouquet St., Oakland. The event, which is hosted by the University of Pittsburgh's Ridgway Center for International Security in the Graduate School of Public and International Affairs, is free and open to the public. Members of the U.S. Army War College speaking on the panel are Colonel Mike Hoadley, U.S. Army; Teddy Bryan, USAID; Colonel Gregg Gross, U.S. Army; Lieutenant Colonel Philip Skuta, U.S. Marine Corps; Captain Daniel Smith, U.S. Navy; and Lieutenant Colonel David Stilwell, U.S. Air Force.

The Eisenhower Series College Program is an academic outreach program established by the Department of the Army to encourage dialogue on national security and other public policy issues between the U.S. Army War College and the civilian public.
