3/23 As part of the Pitt Asian Studies Center's Asia Over Lunch Spring 2006 Series, Rachel Hutchinson, an assistant professor of Japanese in Colgate University's Department of East Asian Languages and Literatures, will give a lecture titled "Writing the Other, Defining the Self: Japanese Identity in the Twentieth Century," at noon, Room 4130, Posvar Hall, 230 S. 3/23 Verne Harris, an archivist and project manager at the Nelson Mandela Foundation's Centre for Memory, Houghton, South Africa, will deliver a lecture titled "Reaching for Hospitality: Politics and Ethics in Recordmaking," at 4:30 p.m., Room 125, Frick Fine Arts Auditorium, Schenley Drive, Oakland. This event, held in conjunction with Pitt's Johnson Institute for Responsible Leadership in the Graduate School of Public and International Affairs, is part of the Pitt School of Information Sciences Policy, Ethics, & Accountability Lecture Series.
