Pitt Showcases the Work of Its Emerging Artists In Annual Studio Arts Student Exhibition

Contact:

PITTSBURGH-The talent and collective enthusiasm of University of Pittsburgh art students are evident in the annual Studio Arts Student Exhibition, which runs through April 28 at the University Art Gallery (UAG), Frick Fine Arts Building, 650 Schenley Dr., Oakland. A number of the students exhibiting their art in this year's show will be in the gallery at noon April 18 to discuss their work.

The works of art, which touch upon personal, societal, and cultural issues, represent each senior's academic career in studio arts. Exceptional artwork from Pitt sophomores and juniors also were juried for the show. Media represented include painting, drawing, sculpture, printmaking, and digital imaging.

The UAG exhibition hours are Mondays through Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Thursday evenings until 8 p.m.
