The University of Pittsburgh's Asian Studies Center to Present Japanese Taiko Drumming: East Meets West
PITTSBURGH-The University of Pittsburgh will host the thunderous beats and dynamic movement of Master Musicians Takumi Kato and Ryo Shiobara and musician and professor Pandel Collaros at 8 p.m. Oct. 13, in the Assembly Room of the William Pitt Union, 3959 Fifth Ave., Oakland.
The free public event is sponsored by the Asian Studies Center, an affiliate of Pitt's University Center for International Studies; the Japan-America Society of Pennsylvania; and Bethany College of West Virginia.
