Contact:

PITTSBURGH-The work of University of Pittsburgh Department of Studio Arts graduating seniors is showcased in an exhibition that runs through April 27 in the University Art Gallery, in the Frick Fine Arts Building, 650 Schenley Dr., Oakland.

Approximately 100 pieces are installed in the gallery, representing the work of 24 graduating seniors and 20 undergraduate sophomore and junior students. They include sculpture, printmaking, painting, drawing, and digital works.

At noon on April 16, seven of the exhibiting seniors will discuss their works in an informal talk in the gallery.

"The exhibition is a momentous event and critical moment where students are beginning to fully comprehend their accomplishments here within the program as they are simultaneously preparing themselves for careers beyond these studios-much of the work reveals this fragility and tension," says Delanie Jenkins, professor and chair of the Studio Arts department.

The gallery hours are Monday through Friday, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Saturday, April 26, also from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
