Pitt's Office of Child Development to Hold Open House At its New Point Breeze Location

PITTSBURGH—Community leaders and University of Pittsburgh administrators will be among the guests at Pitt's Office of Child Development (OCD) Open House Celebration from 3 to 6 p.m. March 12 at its new location at Lexington Technology Park, 400 N. Lexington Ave., Point Breeze.

Members of the OCD staff will be available to discuss the research and collaborative efforts that promote the well-being of infants, children, and families in this region as well as across the globe. They include managing The Fathers Collaborative and the Permanency Planning Task Force, as well as representation on a number of advisory boards and committees, including the WQED Community Advisory Board, Generations Together, Child Watch Advisory Board, Making Peace, Take This Heart, Celebrating Those Who Care, and the Bedford Village Self-Sufficiency Advisory Board. The public is welcome to attend.

DIRECTIONS:

Take Fifth Avenue east toward Shadyside. Turn right onto Penn Avenue. Turn left at North Lexington Avenue (one block past Homewood Avenue). Proceed a short distance into Lexington Technology Park. When driving into the complex, go straight past the security gate. Parking is to the left of the building. Enter through the security office, which is well marked as you enter the grounds. Sign in, proceed to the main lobby, and take the elevator down to the Office of Child Development, located on the lower level. The office is about 20 minutes from Pitt's Oakland campus.
