Pitt CGS Alumni Society to Hold Inaugural Golf Outing

PITTSBURGH—The University of Pittsburgh College of General Studies (CGS) Alumni Society board of directors will hold an inaugural CGS Alumni Golf Outing and Dinner May 21 at Seven Oaks Country Club in Beaver, Pa. The golf outing begins at noon.

Proceeds will benefit the CGS Alumni Society Scholarship and Resources Fund, which provides academic scholarships and assists CGS students with the purchase of textbooks. CGS comprises nontraditional students who generally work full-time jobs while attending classes.

The golf outing, played in a scramble format, will be followed by a dinner, awards program, and silent auction, with such prizes as Steelers autographed memorabilia, dinner packages to local restaurants, and cultural and athletic tickets.
