Nationality Rooms Program to Award 2005 Summer Study Abroad Scholarships at April 2 Reception
PITTSBURGH—The Nationality Rooms and Intercultural Exchange Programs at the University of Pittsburgh will award 35 scholarships for Summer Study Abroad at a Bon Voyage reception at 1 p.m. Saturday, April 2, in Room 332, Cathedral of Learning, 4200 Fifth Ave., Oakland.
The awardees will study in Africa, Austria, Brazil, Chile, China, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Greece, India, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Lebanon, Mexico, Mongolia, Poland, Scotland, South Africa, Spain, Switzerland, Syria, and Vietnam.
Funded by individual room committees, memorial awards, and numerous endowments, the Nationality Rooms Program's awards enable students to complete credit-worthy study and experience several weeks' immersion in other cultures as a means of expanding their international horizons.
The 2005 scholarships bring the programs' total awards to 856.
