3/9 Pitt's Department of the History of Art and Architecture will sponsor a lecture by Elizabeth Roark, assistant professor of art, Chatham College, titled "Terrible Like Agamemnon's Son": Schiller's Aesthetics in John Frankenstein's Portrait of Godfrey Frankenstein and American Art: Its Awful Altitude. 3/10 Pitt's Women's Studies program presents a lecture in celebration of Women's History Month, titled "The Gendering of Honey Bees from Hesiod to Plath," by Yvonne Noble, research associate at the Women's Studies Program. THEATRE
3/14 Pitt's Department of Theatre Arts presents "Shakespeare for Children: A Midsummer Night's Dream." This is a children's adaptation of the Shakespearean classic for ages 6 to 12, performed by actors from Pitt's Theatre Arts Department. The Carnegie Museum, Lecture Hall, 11 a.m. Admission is $5 - $6 (includes free admission to the museums, group discounts available). For more information and for tickets, call 622-3183.
