PITT HOSTS PANEL ON "HOUSING AND HOMELESSNESS IN ALLEGHENY COUNTY"
PITTSBURGH, Sept. 24 -- The University of Pittsburgh School of Law will hold a discussion, "Housing and Homelessness in Allegheny County: Sources and Solutions," Monday, Oct. 4, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. in the Law School Building, Room 109, Forbes Ave. and South Bouquet St.
The event, which is free and open to the public, is being held to raise awareness about housing and homelessness in Allegheny County and to stimulate activism surrounding housing issues.
Panelists will include Leon Haley, professor in the Graduate School of Public and International Affairs and an expert in housing and urban policy issues, and Tamara Dudukovich of The Community Builders, Inc.
The evening will begin with a video presentation, produced by the Alliance for Justice in Washington, D.C., detailing the 50th anniversary of the Fair Housing Act. A reception will follow. For more information, call 412-648-2359
