PITT LAW SCHOOL TO HOST PANEL ON MARKETING AND RECRUITING

PITTSBURGH, Feb. 11 -- The University of Pittsburgh School of Law will host, "Marketing and Recruiting for Small and Mid-Size Law Firms," on Wednesday, March 1, from 9 to 11:30 a.m. at the Rivers Club, One Oxford Centre, downtown.

Sponsored by the Pittsburgh Chapter of the Legal Marketing Association (LMA) and Pitt Law School's Career Planning and Placement Office, the program will feature Norman K. Clark of Altman Weil, Inc., a prominent legal consulting firm with offices nationwide. Lawyers, legal recruiters, and marketing professionals also will participate.

The panel discussion will cover the unique aspects of marketing for small and mid-size law firms in the Pittsburgh market and techniques to attract and retain the best entry-level and lateral candidates. The program also will address the state of the Pittsburgh legal market and how small and mid-size firms can distinguish themselves to clients and potential employees.

The program is free to current law students and LMA members. For others, cost is $20 payable to LMA. Registration and buffet breakfast begin at
