MEMORIAL SERVICE PLANNED AT PITT FOR EMIL SANIELEVICI
PITTSBURGH, March 3 -- The following is a statement from University of Pittsburgh Chancellor Mark A. Nordenberg:
"All of us at the University of Pittsburgh are shocked and saddened by the tragic and untimely death of Emil Sanielevici, and we extend our deepest sympathies to his family. Our entire University community is diminished by the loss of Emil, just as the larger community has been cheated of the great promise and potential that his young life represented. Our sense of sorrow is all the more intense because of the sudden, senseless and violent nature of Emil's death. We fervently hope that, as a caring and humane society, we can identify the causes that underlie such tragedies and work together to eliminate them."

A memorial service for Emil Sanielevici will be held Monday, March 6 at 3:00 p.m. in the Heinz Chapel on the University of Pittsburgh campus.
