KUNTU REPERTORY THEATRE TO HOST "POETRY SLAM" CONTEST
PITTSBURGH, August 30 -- The University of Pittsburgh's Kuntu Repertory Theatre will host a "Poetry Slam" contest, sponsored by In Pittsburgh Newsweekly. The contest is open to everyone.
The suggested theme for the poetry is "love and relationships." First, second and third place prizes will be awarded, along with an opportunity for poets to "slam" their poems live on stage.
Judges for the competition will include playwright Rob Penny and renowned Pitt Professor-Emeritus Dennis Brutus.
All entries are due by September 15, and should be sent to:
