1/20-2/5    Pitt’s Kuntu Repertory Theatre presents Traces in the 7th-floor auditorium of Alumni Hall, 4227 Fifth Ave., Oakland. Performances are 8 p.m. Thursday through Saturday and 4 p.m. Sunday. MUSIC

1/21     Pitt’s University Library System and Calliope, Pittsburgh’s folk music society, will present a free concert by vocalist Brenda Jean at noon, Cup and Chaucer Café, ground floor, Hillman Library, 3960 Forbes Ave., Oakland. EXHIBITIONS

1/12-1/28    Pitt’s Department of Studio Arts and the University Honors College present the Studio Arts Wyoming Field Study Exhibition, featuring the works of four studio arts majors who studied at Pitt’s Wyoming ranch, which is rich in dinosaur fossils, University Art Gallery, Frick Fine Arts Building, 650 Schenley Dr., Oakland. Gallery hours are 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Monday through Friday. For more information, call 412-648-2430. 

LECTURES

1/19     Pitt’s School of Information Sciences (SIS) will host “A Conversation With David Ferriero,” archivist of the United States, at 11 a.m., Room 121, David Lawrence Hall, 3942 Forbes Ave., Oakland. The U.S. Archivist is the head of the National Archives and Records Administration and is appointed by the President of the United States. The event is part of SIS Colloquium Series.
