Media Availability for NASA Administrator Charles Bolden Prior to Pitt Commencement April 26
PITTSBURGH—NASA Administrator Charles Bolden, the University of Pittsburgh’s 2015 commencement speaker, will be available to speak with media representatives from 10:30-11:00 a.m. Sunday, April 26, in the Media Work Room of the Petersen Events Center, 3719 Terrace St., Oakland. Members of the media are required to enter the Petersen Events Center using the Terrace Street doors to the left of the ticket office.
The University’s 2015 Commencement Convocation will follow at 1 p.m. that day in the Petersen Events Center. Reporters not attending the media availability but covering the ceremony are encouraged to arrive prior to the 1 p.m. start of the ceremony because of enhanced security measures.
Media should bring photo identification, preferably organizational credentials. Personal backpacks, packages, and oversized purses will not be permitted. Members of the media and their belongings may be subject to bag checks, pat-downs, and visual and K-9 screenings.
All University parking lots are free and open to the public on April 26; media requiring special accommodations should contact John Fedele at 412-225-6384 by 5 p.m. Friday, April 24.
