Pitt Program Council Hosts Former Clinton Press Secretary Joe Lockhart

PITTSBURGH—Joe Lockhart—who served as press secretary to former President Bill Clinton—will participate in a free question-and-answer session sponsored by the Pitt Program Council at 8:30 p.m. April 16 in the University of Pittsburgh's William Pitt Union Assembly Room, in Oakland.
Also national press secretary for the Clinton/Gore 1996 reelection campaign and the 1988 Dukakis/Bentsen presidential campaign, Lockhart is an award-winning journalist and political strategist. He served as foreign producer at SKY Television News of London for Europe's first 24-hour direct television broadcast news service, deputy assignment manager for CNN, and an assignment editor for ABC. Working for NBC, he covered the Pennsylvania delegation at the 1980 Democratic convention.
Lockhart is president and founding partner of the Glover Park Group, a Washington consulting firm specializing in advocacy advertising.
