Pitt's Kuntu Repertory Theatre to Present Seniors in Action Video
October 17, 2002
PITTSBURGH—The University of Pittsburgh's Kuntu Repertory Theatre will show a videotape of its Seniors in Action workshops at 10 a.m. Nov. 4 at the South Side Market House, 12th and Birmingham streets, and at 11:45 a.m. Nov. 14 at the Elderado Senior Center, 320 Brownsville Road, Mt. Oliver.
As part of its work promoting arts in the community, Kuntu Repertory Theatre conducts free Seniors in Action programs, which include workshops in psychodrama, music, and theater, as well as programs in which senior citizens join in to sing songs and to recite poems.
Seniors in Action is made possible through a grant from the Birmingham Foundation, which provides cultural outreach activities for residents of senior citizen care centers in the southern area of Pittsburgh.
The video showings are open to the public. For more information, call Elderado at 412/381-6900 or the South Side Market House at 412/488-8404.
