Noted Author and Computer Scientist Ben Schneiderman To Discuss His Latest Book at Pitt April 26
PITTSBURGH—Author and computer scientist Ben Schneiderman will discuss his latest book, Leonardo's Laptop (MIT Press, 2002), at 4:30 p.m. April 26 in the Frick Fine Arts Auditorium, Schenley Drive, in Oakland.
A professor of computer science at the University of Maryland, College Park, Schneiderman is known for having organized an annual satellite television presentation on User Interface Strategies seen by thousands of professionals from 1987 to 1997.
The lecture, which is being held in conjunction with University of Pittsburgh commencement activities, is open to the public. Sponsors include Pitt's School of Information Sciences and Beta Phi Mu Chapter, which has provided a grant from its Distinguished Lecture Series.
