Pitt's Kuntu Repertory Theatre to Hold Auditions For Buffalo Soldiers Plus One
The University of Pittsburgh's Kuntu Repertory Theatre is holding auditions at 6 p.m. Dec. 17 for its upcoming production, Buffalo Soldiers Plus One. The auditions will take place in 4B53 Posvar Hall, 230 S. Bouquet St., Oakland.
Actors are advised to bring a headshot and resume and be prepared to deliver a
90-second contemporary monologue. Kuntu is seeking 16 African American males ages 16 or older; four mature White males; two children, including an American Indian female; three White women ages 22, 35, and 50; and six women, four African American and two American Indian, between the ages of 18 and 50.
Buffalo Soldiers Plus One, written and directed by Kuntu founder and artistic director Vernell Lillie, focuses on the 9th and 10th Cavalry and their heroic efforts to overcome adversity during the Civil War.
