Pitt Sponsors 21St Annual Chemistry Olympics
PITTSBURGH, May 5 -- More than 300 students from three states will compete in the 21st annual Pittsburgh Chemistry Olympics on Wednesday,
May 10, in the University of Pittsburgh Chemistry Department. The event, sponsored by the Pittsburgh American Chemical Society Chemical Education Group and the Pitt Chemistry Department, features 102 teams of students from
45 area high schools competing in laboratory events in one of three categories: first year chemistry, second year chemistry, and organic chemistry.
Prizes will be awarded to the winning teams at a ceremony at 3 p.m. in the Ashe Auditorium, Chevron Hall, on the Pitt campus. A list of participating schools is attached.
