PITT ALUMNAE COUNCIL TO HOST ANNUAL SPRING EVENT
PITTSBURGH, March 28 -- The University of Pittsburgh will host its annual Alumnae Council Spring Event on Thursday, April 19, from 5:30 to
8:30 p.m., at the Masonic Temple Ballroom, 4227 Fifth Avenue, Oakland.
The theme of this year's event is Gardens of Knowledge. Highlights include a presentation by Warren Dana, Pitt alumni and docent at Phipps Conservatory; an herb cooking demonstration; a silent auction; and other demonstrations from flower shops and nurseries. Mary Robb Jackson, KDKA news reporter, will be presented the 2001 Distinguished Alumni Award.
Cost of the event is $25/person, including dinner, with proceeds benefiting the Alumnae Council scholarship and lantern funds. Registration deadline is April 12. For more information, call 1-800-258-PITT or
